p>Edward joined Smilemakers in 2017 having gained a honours degree from the University of Southampton in Biomedical Sciences, and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Bristol.
Dedicated to gaining maximum exposure to different aspects of dentistry to enhance his skills, Edward worked as a senior house officer at the King’s College Dental Institute in London, and in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. The latter of which is a renowned department featuring on the BBC documentary the Surgeons: At the Edge of Life, with the hospital itself a major trauma centre.
Edward is passionate about the care of patients and takes great pride in helping them overcome dental anxiety to enable them to access dental care. Driven by this, Edward became qualified in the provision of intravenous dental sedation adding a new service for Smilemakers, and further enhancing patient access to dental care. Edward has also completed the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and is a finalist of the 2020 prestigious Aesthetics Dentistry Award in the category of Tooth Whitening. Edward loves helping people achieve the aesthetic results they desire.
In his free time Edward enjoys traveling, socialising with friends, football and personal fitness and wellbeing.
